ISSS 2026 explainer
On this project, I worked across both on-set VFX supervision and post-production, ensuring all technical data was properly captured during the shoot and carried through to final integration. While the base 3D environment was created by another artist, I focused on refining the result, adding props, adjusting details, and bringing everything together into a cohesive final image.
Pre-Production & Planning
Before the shoot, I developed a series of previs tests to define camera movement and spatial relationships between the actor and the 3D environment. These studies also served as a communication tool, helping align the entire team on the visual direction and technical approach before filming began.
On-Set Execution
On set, I worked closely with the director and cinematographer to match camera setup and performance with the planned VFX integration. I also prepared the greenscreen for tracking and captured a partial 3D scan of the environment, giving me a reliable real-world reference for scale and camera tracking.
VFX & Post-Production
In post-production, I combined the tracked footage with the 3D environment and refined the shot through lighting, compositing, and color matching. Using the scanned greenscreen reference, I was able to accurately align the live-action footage with the digital scene in Blender, ensuring consistent scale and spatial coherence.
